  The first i didn’t recognize it, but the others were easier, all those are logos we see all the time, everywere, and from products we use almost all the time, for that we can identifie them so quickly. What is the show you see about? design related or simply normal tv show?

  Luis, Interesting to see how easily people can pick the logos and yeah I used recognisable logos, maybe next time I can use not so recognisable ones. The TV Show was just a normal game show named “Talkin’ Bout Your Generation”… nothing design related.

  Hey JC! While since I’ve popped on here, I think I ducked out a bit while you were traveling! What an ace post to come back to, this is definitely something you should keep going. Possibly even take it further – give it it’s own site and do a daily “Guess the logo” with a proper submission system! Just an idea eh?! Keep it up matey! I’ll be popping by Sydney in a couple of months, never know – might stumble into each other!

I even use a Mac and I got that one wrong, and the Pepsi logo being new threw me off. I’m curious to know if you did this same game with both the old and new Pepsi logos, which one would get better results. Personally, I think the old one would win, but that may be my bias against the “plumber crack” logo.

  I just found a game that reminded me of this. It’s on the site “Sporcle” which is basically a site where they provide various games in which you try to name everything in a category. This one is “Can you name these Corporate Logos?” http://www.sporcle.com/games/corplogos.php It’s very interesting to look at the “Most missed” link after you’re done. My beloved Adobe is 4th most missed out of them! It kind of shows you which companies are getting through to us. I’m guilty of missing the most missed, myself.

  I won’t bore you with yet another list of guesses. It would be a painful exercise in deja vu. I’ve noticed that a lot of people have already cracked it. What I want to stress is the power of logos as means of brand recognition. The very fact that so many of us were able to recognize these logos shows their tremendous importance in building the identity of a company. It’s no wonder then the best logos out there were not created overnight, but were products of long toils and great creative efforts.

  This sure was an exciting game. A few were not recognizable initially. However, looking at other people’s guesses made you realize, yes, you know them. I don’t think design is that important. All big companies have simple logos. It is their continuous exposure that makes us remember them and instantly recognizable.
