“Talk less, listen more”. This is some advice that I am guilty of not following. I’ve been pumping out articles and guest articles here on Just Creative & Just Globetrotting without asking for feedback from you, so now’s your chance to speak up!

Give your feedback on Just Creative!

The link above is a 30 second survey and as a thank you for participating, a random 5 winners will receive a free premium resource from the Vandelay Design Shop.

I’ve always been a big fan of your logo design resources. I’d love to see interviews to see/hear how different designers work (eg: idea generation, research/data gathering etc).

    Hello Jacob,
I am a regular reader of JCD and is very much inspired by all the articles, resources and knowledge you have shared on this blog. Things I would like to see:

    1. Web Design – You have shared a lot of articles related to Identity but there are very less articles about Web Design. I would like you to shower some web design knowledge on JCD. UX/UI is what I am talking about.

    2. Using Tools – Would like to see How to use tools like Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign etc more effectively thus increasing productivity.

All of your articles are evergreen. I think it will work even for next 10 years. There is one thing I would like you to change on your blog and that is hiding dates from posts and comments.

A lot of best articles are from 2008-2010. When I first stumbled upon JCD, I bounced off from this site because articles were old. I think it is a deal with SEO people. The trends in Design Industry changes rapidly ( Especially Web Design), so I think that hiding dates from your WP theme will be a great idea. It will gain trust of your new visitors because they will consider that your content is JUSTfresh.

Would like to know your comments.

      Hi Amrit,

Thanks for the detailed feedback, appreciate it. We do have some web design (UX/UI) articles lined up so stay tuned, especially related to web resources. There is also a typography tools post coming too! Would you be referring to tutorials as well? I feel like so many other sites have tutorials though.

As for the dates, hiding them wouldn’t really effect SEO (except maybe the bounce rate), because it still appears in search results. Also, I do want people to know when they were written… especially my design process posts because it is my older work, even student work in some cases. Thoughts?

      • Amrit S. Lotay

No, I am not referring to tutorials. Neither I am referring to articles like “Top 10 websites to do something”. All of the Web Magazines are full of these kind of posts.
The kind of articles I would like to see are: A recent one you wrote about Sidebars or How to Overcome your Creative Block etc.

Hiding dates won’t effect SEO. If I were you, I would have done that. I think its a personal choice.
